We bought a 20 lb turkey for $4.50 at HEB Saturday. Between now and then we need to get all of the accessories.

I like to roast turkeys on a regular basis; I carve it up and freeze most of it to use as lunchmeat.
It irritates me that the really big turkeys are only sold around Thanksgiving, since it's basically as much work to roast a small bird as a big bird.
We get the biggest bird we can for the same reasons.
I think turkeys resemble George Washington, somewhat. Pity his birthday does not fall in November.
We had the holiday parade here, last Saturday. In Tomball, the season has officially started, with Santa Clause appearing on the final float. I am revving up for the big moment, when we can all say "Have a Holly Jolly Christmas; its the best time of the year -"
