The Christan church borrowed their morality from the countries around them, the laws on murder and adultery already existed. The base idea that all of humanity is evil unless they give themselves to church is absurd. Man is evil God is good. We all have empathy and empathy is the foundation of all morality it is not some supernatural God floating in the shy. Satan is just an excuse to blame bad things on. The Christian Church would still be burning people at stake today if laws had not been passed to stop the evil practice.
