@BillW,
Two treatments under the lamp and I was all healed. In those days nobody talked to me about anything consequential. The parents seemed to think the less we knew the better.
Started watching Superman Returns on Roku. Was called away from the TV so cut it off. I seriously doubt I will feel inclined to restart it.
My daughter tried for a long time to get her landlord to cut a dangerous tree. They made a few work orders which were subsequently canceled. Last week they made a new work order. But today a limb fell through her window. Such a bastard their landlord is.
People can knock Facebook all they like. Right now it is allowing us to monitor my daughter's progress as she drives to Denver and back, making the first half of the round trip alone. She shares enough videos that we can keep up all the way.
On Jeopardy, one answer was "Scarlet", the commisioned sequel to Gone With the Wind. I read it and had to object. It was pure bullshit. Mammy has died in advance and she moves to Ireland. Except for some of the holdover characters there is virtually no connection with GWTW, except she still wants Rhett. Not one black person in it at all. Don't know why I even finished it.
R Kelly convicted. Rightly so. Epstein's clients: zilch. College athletes: no penalty because a conviction could upset their lives. Their victims, literally: screw 'em. Emotion, power, popularity - only a little law involved.
@edgarblythe,
Equal Justice for All (wink,wink,wink)
I see so many paintings online these days that look as if they put their colors over photographs. I am ignorant of the modern process but I don't enjoy those.
When I was a kid my mother played country music all day on the radio. So, at six years of age, I found myself a fan of Hank Williams. Imagine a six-year-old empathizing such as this:
Puerto Rico storm damage. I hope Joe Biden has a case of paper towels handy.
Things that make you go bleep: My insurance man looked up my VIN number for the car I just bought. Nissan. Sinatra, he says.

Paper towel man is preoccupied avoiding indictments.
@coluber2001,
I'm as anticipatory as you.
I miss being able to look out and see my old purple truck. But I am happy to see a Nissan Sentra all shiny and smooth, though I am not comfortable with all the electronics and I can't see behind me very well. I secretly wish I still had my '48 Chevy, the first car I owned. When I'd get to cooking down the freeway that old Chevy floorboarded did a neat 70 MPH. Oh well. Can't have everything.
@edgarblythe,
My 1st car - 1967.Opel Kadett Rallye Sport - they had an unbelievable suspension made for going around tight corners and then the pickup was fabulous. My brother and I could go together and buy this car and still go to high school. If I could have that car now, brand new - wowser!
@BillW,
I remember those. My first wife had one.
I have to provide my Mom's birth certificate to my son because he wants to file as having Indian heritage for whatever benefits one gains in Oklahoma. Since he decided to buy land and stay there it makes sense. Ever since I showed him the paper with my grandfather's assigned number he has wanted to do it. I say take what they've got to offer because the government does so little for its citizens these days.
@edgarblythe,
Please, please tell me it's with the Osage tribe?
