Carry on.
<uploading the 120 pix I just took at the neighbourhood parade>
Happy Canada Day!
God keep your land
Glorious and free
I hope McGentrix and his gang are having a good time here today.
A little while ago, the thunder was cracking, the rain was pouring down and the sun was shining. What more could you ask for. We should take the little dog over to the Canadian Legion for the cook-out.
This reminds me that my father's mother was Canadian (irish), I think from Barrie. I never met her or my grandfather, but I did meet my father's aunt Delia on a trip up there when I was eight. I do have a big old photo of my grandmother, and couple of her flower paintings on glass, circa what? maybe 1900. I semi ruined them by starting to wash them, what a clod I was to do that. They're still good to have, though, whatever monetary value I killed off in those short seconds of stupidity - I see and enjoy them every day.
So, Happy Canada Day, folks.
When I was a boy this was all I knew about Canada. Of course, since then, I also know about Dudley Doright.
@edgarblythe,
Oh, yeah... I remember listening to Sergeant Preston of the Yukon on the readio at a school friend's house and enjoying it. Plus, there were probably cookies.. That was third grade.. I learned a lot that year, being a eight year old in the Bronx. I loved the ships in the Hudson back then. Oh, never mind..
It was from there that we drove up to see my father's aunt in Canada.. (a whole new country!).
@ossobuco,
urg, I tried to add radio at the last second editing. Still, those were radio days...
Happy Canada Day, I wish I could live there in the future.
I'm working towards it.
@luke21,
I'm Canadian and thus a true miracle of sociopolitical-intellectual-environmental- globally-responsible perfection.
