Lotsa talk about a Loui Eriksson trade hereabouts.
The idea would be to beef up the D.
I'd hate to lose him, he's fun to watch.
@George,
The Bruins will keep Loui around because his wife is a babe.
@panzade,
That certainly works for me!
The Boston Bruins did not trade pending unrestricted free agent Loui
Eriksson at the deadline, but general manager Don Sweeney did acquire
forward Lee Stempniak from the New Jersey Devils and defenseman
John-Michael Liles from the Carolina Hurricanes, the teams announced.
Well, whoop-de-doo.
@ossobuco,
I apparently fibbed - I haven't been paying attention.
Have been reading up re baseball season..
@ehBeth,
figured Montreal would be a force to reckon with after their fast (9-0) start in October...
@Region Philbis,
I had hopes for the Habs - even knew where my scarf was ...
Da Broons are dancing on the playoff bubble.
I expect a *pop*.
Two years in a row.
Sheesh.
Since American hockey teams are primarily staffed by Canadian players it follows that the GMs south of the border must be doing a better job at hiring and firing.Or else the languishing Looney is at fault. In any case it's a sad day for the NHL, this April Fools Day.

(21 minutes of good sports talk)
Quote:Shad checks in with Toronto Star columnist Bruce Arthur, CBC host and reporter Sonali Karnick and host of the Edge of Sports podcast Dave Zirin.
At issue today:
How we should cope with our great national shame of the Canadian lockout of the 2016 Stanley Cup playoffs?
Why don't female soccer player get paid as much as their male counterparts?
Although the NCAA final four is this weekend, should basketball players stage a strike for their rights?
So the Panthers celebrate Rat Night to honor Scott Mellanby who dispatched a rat with a slap shot in the locker room 20 years ago
So they handed out 10,000 rubber rats and that was a bad idea When Huberdeau scored the second goal 1,0000 rats came flying down
so the refs charged Florida with a delay of game penalty.
S Fla crazy fans.
had the Bruins won today, the Red Wings would've missed the playoffs for first time since 1990...
@Region Philbis,
Cass told me that Bruins still had a mathematical chance? no way?
@Ragman,
yeah, if the Penguins had beaten the Flyers.
the way they played this year, they didn't deserve it...
@Region Philbis,
yeah, I saw that they lost a whole bunch of games in a row at the end of the season. Is that any way to run an airline?
Claude's a great coach, but someone has to be the culprit.
He'll get snapped up right away
@panzade,
Every time I hear talk of ditching Claude I simply ask "And pickup who?"
