Isee theyve just discovered a huge earth approaching asteroid that , until now, has been missed. SO this may be the dreaded Apocalypse .

I'm afraid I will miss it. Have to work and all that. Maybe next doomsday will find me on a weekend. That's much better, I think, for most of us anyway.

We'll be shoveling out from tonight's 4" of snow -- first snowfall of the season here. Then we'll join friends downtown on Saturday for a lovely dinner at The Berghoff for Christmas Goose (I'll order the lamb shanks -- no goose for me).

Apparently there was a misinterpretation of Mayan's calendar. So the whole thing is a big 'never mind' (cue the voice of Rosanne Rosanadanna).
Also heard that the phrase 'end of world' could have another meaning such as a change in thinking or a paradigm shift - not literally the end of the earth.
