has there ever been knowledge of healers drown by being tied in a chair attached at end of long pole. this pole was fixed to where they had it over land while placing healer on chair , then rotated out and over water. then ducked into lake.?
@rebecca arwood,
I believe you are speaking of witches being drowned, or perhaps victims of the Spanish Inquisition?
@rebecca arwood,
It's called a
ducking stool (or "cucking stool").

They were not typically used as a form of execution, although the Wikipedia article mentions their use in identifying witches through a means similar to "
trial by ordeal of cold water."
@joefromchicago,
I thought they were discerned by ducks not ducking stools
