I should friends-lock this journal already... As soon as I figure out how, that is...

I need to work a bit on self-motivation. Due to various circumstances my performance at worked dropped a bit - and I guess I didn't do a very good job hiding it LOL... I hope it'll pass because getting up every morning is much easier if you enjoy your work... I got a little pay rise last Friday but it's nowhere close to what I asked fro so better let's not go there... I would even consider new job (I do consider that!) only I am not entirely sure I know what I want. Which basically sucks.

From the brighter side I have seen nearly (not yet finished) two eps of Lost in Austen. I am not thrilled with it - I think they overdid certain things, but it's surely interesting. Lizzy (or what we've seen of her) seems really dull and Darcy doesn't have much appeal... They have the best Bingley so far though, IMHO. I am quite curious where it's all going - they messed up with the plot quite a lot! I hope it doesn't finish with Amanda waking up, that would be a huge dissapointment!

What keeps me going this week is ... SPN! Yay!!! The boys ae back on Thursday (Dean quite literally, LOL) and I am reaaaaalllly looking forward to it. There's a lot of spoilers/pics/goodies showing up these days and it all looks awsome! And some of the reviews of 4.01 that appeared are really good :)

So. I will spend this week squeeing about SPN and worrying a bit about work. And beig cold - these past couple of days are really cold...

I am a fangirl. I am. There's no point denying that. And every now and then I get hooked at something new - and really hard.
Of course, I have my eternal fandoms - N&S, Jane Austen, RA - but those are sometimes ... dormant. Like now. And I have those that catch me somehow offguard and then fade a bit.
Now, as you might have already noticed, it's Supernatural. And to make it even worse, I even got OH in that! To the point where he's wearing Dean's bracetet, LOL.

Anyways, what I wanted to say is that I watched new episode of Bones tonight - which I also love. I enjoyed it, I am happy Bones is back but my conclusion is...

Can anything ever get better than the Winchesters???

I have completed my first 100icons challenge!!! YAY!

Mamma Mia!

We've seen Mamma Mia! today. The music is really great (go ABBA!) even though the majority of the cast obviously can't sing...
However, I find the movie itself... really disappointing. The acting IMHO is really poor - Meryl Streep is such a great actress but she didn't manage to pull this one... Her portrayal of Donna is so unconvincing... The same unfortunately applies to Julie Walters, whom I generally adore.
The best impression was left by the male cast, I guess - Stellan and Colin, but that maybe due to the fact that they didn't spend that much time on screen. Pierce Brosnan was really ok too until he started to show up more and more.

As I said - the music's great but there maybe just a little too much of it. There are so many songs that the story itself falls apart to the point of loosing any credibility... The dialogs are really horrible.

Having said that I don't want to discourage you completely, should you happen to read this. Just don't expect too much. I obviously made that mistake.

Yet again I need to study for the banking test that I failed... I think it was May. That doesn't make me happy. Me not likey the subject.
But even worse is that I have been waiting for months now for a decision re my pay rise. I feel ignored and not at all appreciated while I really work hard and am good at my work.
On the top of that is that we'll have some guy on Sat at home making some improvements in our bathroom - really minor ones, but still... I like to have my weekend peaceful.

On the good side - OH loves Supernatural nearly as much as I do. He even says it's his favourite :D You think I should be looking forward to a pentagram-anti-possession sorta tattoo?

I just bought myself Final Cut Express 4..... I am thrilled but it's looks really scary....
I guess it's good that I don't feel too inspired at the mo, huh? LOL. I think I may need to buy a book about this thing or something.

I got myself into watching SPN (if you haven't noticed... ) and I got really excited today with the new season 4 pics HERE. Oh, little joys of ife ;)

Apart from that looks like we will be doing some changes in the bathroom which makes me much less than happy and I need to study for work... bleeee

sick off... first time ever 0.o
I don't know what it's called in English but my right ear hurts really really bad...
But apart from that it's nice to stay home :D Only now I need to decide what to watch - there are so many things I'd like to see that I will probably end up not watching anything :D

Also I am a bit worried as I need to organize a bachelorette party for this Saturday and with pretty high expactations of the bride and me being sick (oh, and the fact that I found out about the week about a week ago... ) it all doesn't look too good... :( Frankly saying I am a tad annoyed.... :-/

Oh, I am so happy it's Friday already (yeah, 's started 19 mins ago....)....
I find it really difficult to concentrate on work this week - dunno why....

Holidays were wonderful (THANK YOU, flier_of_kites) but I'd love to have one more week.... I guess.....
When I have the right mood I may post some pics here.

Anyway - I am going back to SPN now.

Miss Austen Regrets - thoughts

I finally watched Miss Austen Regrets yesterday evening.

I loved that movie. If any of you is not familiar with the story it starts when Jane is about 40 years old and reflects a bit on her choices while her young cousin Fanny is making hers. We get to see most of the Austen family, some of their friends.
The movie is rather slow-paced but I really liked it. There are feeling there but it's not too sentimental.
We hear about Tom Leffroy and about some other men in her life. We see Jane, the writer and Jane, the woman, who longed to be loved and who longed to stay true to herself. We also see Jane as a sister and a daughter and how her decisions influenced their lives.

It's a really beutiful story. So much truer that Becoming Jane could ever be.

Twilight/ Graphic journal update

I have just recently read Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer. I quite enjoyed Twilight, even though I am not into vampires but the sequels are just... crap.
Anyway, having said that I am still looking forward to the movie, LOL.

Morning....

I was really tired of the old flexible squares layout so I used this great layout by minty_peach and a header by sanami276 @ overthesunshine .

There are still some things I'll try to adjust (like the size of my mood theme icons.. )

Anyways, I hope you all had great Christmas (I don't know how about you but I got some nice pressies ) and all the best for 2008!

Also, I am considering making a seperate journal for graphics. Let me know what you think about that ;)
