Tier 1: Affiliate

Membership until 31 July 2026

Affiliate (Tier 1) is aimed at anyone working in the awarding and assessment sector.  It is suited to those joining from their first day of employment and those that are at a very early stage in their awarding and assessment career.

Affiliates may hold roles providing support to, for example, qualification development, quality assurance, assessment functions etc.

Roles will vary depending on the organisation but are focussed on supporting the team, prioritising work and ensuring that work is undertaken efficiently and effectively. Job titles might include Qualifications Executive, Operations Executive, Administrator.

It is also appropriate for those working in a more senior role to join as an Affiliate in order to access the services of membership, whilst preparing and awaiting confirmation at a higher tier.

Before you apply, don’t forget to benchmark your knowledge, skills and understanding against the career framework.  It can be helpful to complete the application form, but you are not required to submit it in order to apply at this tier.

To apply, you are required to submit a short online form to confirm the tier of your application and commit to undertaking and maintaining CPD.
