Transition seasons often feel chaotic and uncertain. We can lack the clarity and confidence necessary in order to take the next bold step.
It's time to re-define transition with fresh perspective, to infuse the journey with a sense of purpose. Whether transition is forced upon us or comes about by personal choice, making it to the other side requires that we process the loss, celebrate the wins, and intentionally plan for the next productive season.
Reading and reflecting upon these excerpts from Tim's own transition journey will encourage you and increase your capacity to thrive in whatever stage of transition you find yourself in.

After I read "Transition Companion" I bought it for a number of friends. Many people are in transition or soon will be. The book is an entertaining read but full of insights learned from a life filled with transitions. I will read this book again and again as I find myself in minor and major transitions.

Tim Austin provides simple concise encouragement for anyone navigating life transitions. The book has a clear and easy to follow layout that allows for reading a section, digesting the thought, and then continuing on.

Two of my three children still live at home but are adults working and living their own lives. One is also commuting to college as well. I put my heart and soul into raising them and also helped my mom care for my dad, who has Alzheimer's, when he was still living at home. Although supporting my children and mom, as well as my husband and grandchild are important, I know I am in a time of transition. I'm trying to figure out if I'm doing what God wants me to do. If he wants me to do more or something different. This book encouraged me as I go through this challenging season of life. I have plenty of highlighted areas in the book to look over and ponder.

Transition Companion was helpful to me. Good content, plenty of application for anyone going through or soon to go through a transition, and the author has a good sense of humor, making the reading enjoyable!

Tim Austin gets it. He's been there, and he has good, practical advice. If you have a big move or life change coming up, I highly recommend reading this book first.

This did not feel like "Together Tim" talking down to those who struggle. Thanks for the meaningful insights from your life experience.

In this book I was able to put my own experience of transition into perspective. Tim's style is both engaging and thought provoking. I appreciated his honesty and personal vulnerability through his stories and experiences. I would have appreciated the book even more if it had been longer and gone into more depth with each topic. But I would highly recommend the book as one to give to those in the midst of transition from a cross-cultural setting.
