Authored by the world‘s first augmented, ethical hacker, this book was an interesting read, although very technical for those technically challenged. The book starts by the author, giving a history of his life, and then moves into the technical world. I would recommend this book to any and all IT technicians, managers, and above. Definitely a must read for the IT person!

- Reviewed in the United States on October 30, 2024Format: PaperbackVerified PurchaseSo, this book was SO eye opening and SCARY that there are even more criminal ways of hacking. They are live in person (augmented humans) and not just hiding behind a computer.
I am just a general (personal and professional) computer and phone users. But my computers and credit cards have been hacked several times over the years.
The author does a great job explaining everything to a lay person (like me) and giving references for a deeper understanding of both technical and procedural.
Now I feel that I can better protect my devices, most importantly giving me the knowledge that maybe Cyborgs aren’t as scary.
I want to thank the Augmented Author, for giving his body and brains over to test these implanted devices to make the world a safer place and to give us lay people a better understanding.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 30, 2024Format: PaperbackVerified PurchaseThis book is a great read for anyone looking to understand what the literal term "bleeding edge" technology is all about! Len has taken great consideration to educate readers about the history and origin of his journey, the process, the ethical considerations, as well as what the future may hold for individuals that embark on this same journey. For anyone that is thinking "cyber punk", this book absolutely is in the forefront explaining what the future may very well hold, through the lens of someone who has already taken the first steps. The book is also educational, explaining different types of attacks and how they work. Reading this will not only entertain, but may also challenge traditional beliefs you may have had and put you in the point of view of a new world!

- Reviewed in the United States on December 3, 2024Format: PaperbackThis was a tremendous inside-look at the world of augmented humans, cyborgs, transhumans whatever moniker you wish to use. Len Noe takes you inside his world as an augmented human hacker. He provides not only the insight of how technology and biology melding into one can both help and hurt our world. This is our future and human augmentation along with it's unlimted possibilities are growing exponentially. Len describles many of the pros and cons associated with becoming a living cyborg. Making himself a human guinea pig of sorts. He can infiltrate security systems with a wave of his hand but chooses the high road to teach others of what "can" happen if you don't keep your security systems up to date. Len's passion for the field of technology and physical augmentation is intoxicating. He explains in great detail the processes and the pain associated with becoming a true advanced human. I simply could not put the book down. Read it cover to cover on my work breaks. There is something for everyone in this book. It is a thought provoking joyride. Whether you are someone who knows nothing about computers and technology or if you are a fellow high tech hacker, you will thoroughly love this book. A+++
