My daughter found out about Santa last year and I wish I had this book ready to help break the news. We read the story together as soon as I got the book, and she loves the idea of joining "the club". She actually wants to start a real club with some of her school friends (who also know the secret) and volunteer around town.
The rules at the back of the book were one of her favorite things. (She's at that age where she's showing interest being a grown-up and loves responsibility.) And after reading Secret Santa Claus Club, she seems to appreciate all the work my husband and I put into "becoming" Santa just for her all those years.
Overall, I really think this book added to her experience and will enhance our holiday traditions. (And her wanting to start a real club to volunteer with friends is priceless.) I recommend using Secret Santa Claus Club to help break the news to any child. Or if your kid knows already, like mine did, it can help put the strange idea of "becoming" Santa into perspective. There's some emphasis on keeping the secret from other believers (and helping spread the magic), which I really appreciate. Very glad I purchased.
I'd like to mention that I hesitated a little to get this book (because of price point) but I'm so glad I pulled the trigger. The quality is excellent. The cover has a matte look and feels velvety, and the illustrations are gorgeous. The photo on Amazon doesn't do the quality justice, so I uploaded a few so you can see the illustrations inside the book. But most importantly, the story is really sweet.

This package was the gift that stressed me out for the 2023 holiday season. The past few years felt like the true meaning of Christmas has been forgotten. I wanted a book that would reveal the truth behind Santa and what Christmas is truly about that I would read to my 10 year old on Christmas Eve. When I first ordered the book it said it would arrive right before Christmas. Then it said it was delayed until after Christmas. I went to Barns and Noble looking for the same book, they told me it’s a book that needs to be printed by order. I gave up hope and bought a different book (Dasher, great book!) we read it on Christmas Eve. The next morning, we exchange gifts and my daughter opens her present and stocking from Santa. (Pretty sure she knows the truth, but wants to play along) and I think, “well that it’s for this year.” As I throw out the trash from unwrapping, I see a package on my doorstep and think… “on Christmas Day??” I open it outside…and there it is. A FRESHLY printed copy of the SSCC book. We read the book Christmas night after gifts were opened. It was worth the wait. We cried, hugged, talked about our memories. And most importantly understood the true meaning of Christmas and why we keep Santa alive. If your hesitant. Don’t be. Buy the book.

The book and story line are beautiful and well written. This would be so helpful in talking to my kids about Santa, but the book I received seems to be missing some pages. In the description it states there are 38 pages. The book I received was only 20 and this was the last page. Not sure why there is a quality control issue but I’ll be returning. Anyone else have this as their last page?

This book should be given to every parent who’s children is questioning if Santa is real. What a beautiful way to keep the spirit of Christmas alive! Every child needs this book when they start to be told that Santa isn’t real at school or by their friends.
