How Rental Works

How FastPass CDL Equipment Rental Works

Step 1 — Confirm CLP & Equipment Class

Confirm your valid Texas CLP and the vehicle class you need. CLP eligibility is required before equipment or yard access can be scheduled.

Step 2 — Tell Us What You Need

Tell FastPass what equipment and access is needed: truck and trailer, yard access, test-day vehicle availability, or a combination. Each service is reviewed independently.

Step 3 — Review Availability & Rental Terms

Review equipment availability, safety requirements, and the rental terms that govern your access. A confirmed reservation exists only after the applicable written agreement is completed.

Step 4 — Sign the Agreement & Pay the Rental SKU

Sign the equipment/access agreement and pay the rental fee. Instructional services are separate and are not included in the rental fee.

Step 5 — Use Equipment During Confirmed Dates

Use the equipment only during confirmed dates, locations, and conditions. Texas DPS controls all testing, scoring, and licensing decisions.
