KUPD has been Arizona’s Real Rock station for over 20 years and has helped grow core artists such as Korn, Slipknot, and Nickelback amongst hundreds of others.
Along with sponsoring hard rock concerts in the Phoenix-metro area, KUPD also holds its own annual festival, U-Fest. We invite notable hard rock acts to play the show each year. In recent years U-Fest has been headlined by acts such as Alice In Chains, Sevendust, Three Days Grace, Papa Roach, and Five Finger Death Punch.
KUPD’s on-air lineup includes Bret Vesely midnight-5:30am, followed by Holmberg's Morning Sickness hosted by John Holmberg and co-host Brady Bogen, Creepy-E and Dick Toledo from 5:30AM-10AM, Larry McFeelie hosts the 10AM-2PM shift which includes Larry’s Lunch Sack (a station favorite), Fitz Madrid handles the 2PM-7PM air shift, while The Shan Man and syndicated program Loveline run 7PM-midnight.
