Glen Powell has officially joined The Super Mario Galaxy Movie.

Today show host Savannah Guthrie is begging for answers in the abduction of her mother, Nancy Guthrie, saying that "someone knows something."

"How can someone vanish without a trace?" Savannah Guthrie said in the final part of her emotional interview with her friend and former co-host Hoda Kotb.

Nancy Guthrie, 84, was abducted from her Tucson, Arizona, house in the early hours of Feb. 1, authorities said. Investigators have released surveillance images from outside Nancy Guthrie's house, but the person who took her remains unidentified.

"Our anguish is real. We need help," Savannah Guthrie said. "We need someone to tell the truth. I have no anger in my heart -- I have hope in my heart. I have love. But this family needs peace -- I don't think we deserve anything more or less than any other person."

“It is never too late, and when you do, the warmth of love and forgiveness that will come will be greater than can be imagined," she said.

As she waits for answers, Savannah Guthrie said she's leaning on her faith and is inspired by the deep faith her mother's had through hard times, like after Savannah Guthrie's father died when the Today host was a teenager.

"I saw her grieve, I saw her world shatter," Savannah Guthrie said.

"And I saw her get up and I saw her believe and I saw her love. And I saw her hope and I saw her smile and I saw her laugh. I saw her joy. ... I saw her faith," she said.

"She taught me, she taught all of us," Savannah Guthrie continued.

"I may not do it as well as her, but I will do it. I will do it for my kids. I will. I will not fall apart," she said through tears. "I will not let whoever did this take my children's mother from them. I will not let them take my joy.”

"Faith is how I will stay connected to my mom. ... And I won't let sadness win for her," she said through tears.

Kotb has been filling in for Savannah Guthrie on Today since Nancy Guthrie's disappearance. Savannah plans to return to Today on April 6.

"I'm not gonna be the same," she said.

But she added, "I want to smile, and when I do, it will be real. And my joy will be my protest."

Anyone with information is urged to call 911, the FBI at 1-800-CALL-FBI, or the Pima County Sheriff's Department at 520-351-4900.

Robin Roberts on telling Pat Summitt's story in new documentary: 'People need to know'

Poster for 'Breaking Glass: The Pat Summitt Story' (ABC News Studios)

The story of Pat Summitt, the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Famer best known for coaching women's basketball at the University of Tennessee, has been told in many ways. This time, it’s being brought to life through a documentary directed by Dawn Porter and produced by Robin Roberts’ production company, Rock'n Robin Productions. With an impact that has been felt for decades, Roberts explains why now is the right time to share Summitt’s story in this way.

"People need to know," she tells ABC Audio. "People are excited about the WNBA, March Madness, Unrivaled, they need to know that it might not have happened [were] it not for someone like Pat Summitt. So just to give a history lesson to folks, I think that is the right time to do it."

"It is March Madness, it is Women's History Month. It'll be 10 years in June that she passed away from Alzheimer's," she continues. "So I think it was the perfect storm in giving her her flowers."

Breaking Glass: The Pat Summitt Story, streaming on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+, chronicles Pat's journey from her humble upbringing on a Tennessee dairy farm to her record-setting career at the University of Tennessee, where she won 1,098 games and eight national championships. The film offers an in-depth look at both the challenges she faced, and the lasting impact she made on and off the court.

With so much ground to cover, Dawn says the responsibility she felt in telling Pat's story grew as she learned more about her, but she was fortunately met with support from her family, ESPN, the University of Tennessee and more.

Her goal was to understand why Pat was so deeply loved. What she learned: "Pat saw everybody as people and I think she was really, really instrumental in making that a unified experience where everybody was welcome."

The film will premiere Sunday on ESPN2 and April 5 on ESPN.

Savannah Guthrie questions if mom's abduction is because of her: 'Too much to bear'

Today show host Savannah Guthrie is speaking out in her first interview nearly two months after her mother, Nancy Guthrie, was kidnapped from her Tucson, Arizona, home.

Authorities say Nancy Guthrie, 84, was abducted from her house in the early hours of Feb. 1. They have released surveillance images from outside Nancy Guthrie's house, but the person who took her remains unidentified.

In an emotional interview with her friend and former co-host Hoda Kotb, Savannah Guthrie called the images "absolutely terrifying."

"I can’t imagine that that is who she saw standing over her bed. I can’t. It’s too much," she said.

Savannah recounted a heartbreaking conversation with her brother when she asked him if their mother's abduction could have been because of her.

“He said, 'I'm sorry sweetie, but yeah, maybe,'" Savannah recalled through tears.

She told Kotb that it's "too much to bear to think that I brought this to her bedside, that it’s because of me."

"I’m so sorry, Mommy, I’m so sorry," Savannah said.

And to her family, she apologized through tears, "If it is me, I’m so sorry."

But she added, "We still don’t know. ... Honestly, we don’t know anything."

Savannah also commented on the speculation early in the investigation that one of her family members could have been involved, calling that "unbearable."

"It piles pain upon pain," she said.

Authorities announced on Feb. 16 that they cleared the Guthrie family as suspects.

"No one took better care of my mom than my sister and brother-in-law, and no one protected my mom more than my brother," she said. "And we love her and she is our shining light. She is our matriarch. She is all we have."

In the days after Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance, various ransom notes were sent to the media.

"There are a lot of different notes, I think, that came. And I think most of them, it's my understanding, are not real," Savannah said. "And I didn’t see them, but a person that would send a fake ransom note has to look deeply at themselves.”

She added, "I believe the two notes that we received that we responded to, I tend to believe those are real."

While Savannah said law enforcement has worked tirelessly on the investigation, she stressed that her family "cannot be at peace" without answers.

"Someone can do the right thing, and it is never too late to do the right thing. And our hearts are focused on that," she said.

Another part of Kotb's interview with Savannah Guthrie will air on Friday.

Anyone with information is urged to call 911, the FBI at 1-800-CALL-FBI, or the Pima County Sheriff's Department at 520-351-4900.

Rose Byrne on telling Amanda Ogle's true story in 'Tow'

Rose Byrne on the poster for 'Tow.' (Vertical)

Rose Byrne may be fresh off her first Oscar nomination for her performance in If I Had Legs I'd Kick You, but she already has another movie in theaters.

The actress stars in Tow, which follows the true story of Amanda Ogle, an unhoused woman living in her car on the streets of Seattle, Washington. After her Toyota Camry is stolen and impounded, she fights a relentless legal battle to reclaim her car and, in turn, her life.

Byrne told ABC Audio she got the chance to meet with the real-life Ogle while preparing for the role. They spent a few days together exploring neighborhoods in Seattle and seeing all of the locations that made her who she is.

"She's extraordinary," Byrne said of Ogle, noting "her stubbornness, her perseverance" and most of all her "self-respect and her value of wanting to fight this fight."

"Which is really what it's about. Less so the car, but about that drive," Byrne said, pun not intended.

Byrne continued, "She was really struggling for the basic things and yet she was driven to make sure that she went up against this unbelievable monolith, this corporate monolith who couldn't care less about this complaint."

Her story "was very inspiring and unbelievable," Byrne said. If she had to pick one thing about Ogle that speaks to her the most, Byrne said it was her unyielding dedication.

That stubbornness "was a thing I was fascinated with," Byrne said, "her unwillingness to let it go."

Tow is now playing in select theaters.

Cedric the Entertainer says 'Joe Turner's Come and Gone' is an 'opportunity to stretch'

Cedric the Entertainer on 'Celebrity Jeopardy!' (Disney/Eric McCandless)

Cedric the Entertainer is just weeks away from taking the stage in the Broadway revival of August Wilson's play Joe Turner's Come and Gone. Speaking to People, he said the role is an "opportunity to stretch and do something totally different than being a TV dad." He also noted its similarities to his roots as a stand-up comedian.

"It's like riding a horse," he said. "You can feel the emotion of the horse, and that horse can feel your emotions. When you're performing live you can tell when you've got the audience in the palm of your hand and when you're losing them."

Cedric stars as Seth Holly, who runs a Pittsburgh boardinghouse with Bertha Holly, played by Taraji P. Henson. They provide shelter to Black travelers navigating uncertain paths in the aftermath of the Great Migration, according to Broadway.com.

The story centers on Herald Loomis, who arrives with his young daughter. As noted on the play's official website, he searches for his lost wife while embarking on a journey of self-discovery after seven years of forced labor under Joe Turner, Broadway.com adds. Performances begin March 30 at the Barrymore Theatre.

In other Cedric news, he's preparing to say goodbye to The Neighborhood, which is ending May 11 after eight seasons.

He also has an animated film, Swapped, arriving May 1 on Netflix, and a barbecue cookbook with Anthony Anderson set to drop on May 5.

“I love the fact that in a Renaissance man kind of way, I get to do it all," he said of his busy schedule. “I’d love to continue to have a career that resonates 10, 20, 30 years from now.”

When asked about retirement, he added, “Let’s go until the wheels fall off."

Another day, another gig for Snoop DoggDeadline reports he is set to star in God of the Rodeo, a true crime thriller from filmmaker Rosalind Ross.

Snoop will also produce the film with his Death Row Pictures partner Sara Ramaker, Giannina Scott for Cara Films and Ridley Scott for Scott Free Productions, while Ross writes and directs.

“Linking up with Scott Free Productions and working with Ridley Scott and Giannina Scott on God of the Rodeo is life changing and an honor,” Snoop said in a statement. “Rosalind Ross brought a story with heart and grit, and that’s what I’m about. Me and the team at Death Row Pictures stepping in as producers, I’m acting in it, and Death Row Records is building the soundtrack—and this one got soul. ... We’re bringing an important story and something special to the screen."

Giannina Scott said she is “excited and blessed to have Snoop join the cast," calling him “one of the most gifted and influential artists alive."

Ross added, "It’s a thrill and an honor as a filmmaker to bring the legendary swagger, soul and eccentricity of Snoop to this story in what will be a completely transformative role for him."

While Snoop’s exact role has not yet been revealed, God of the Rodeo — based on reporting by Daniel Bergner— is set against the brutal backdrop of Louisiana's Angola Prison in 1967.

It follows Buckkey, an inmate serving a life sentence "who finds a glimmer of redemption" in Angola’s first inmate rodeo, according to Deadline. He later learns the rodeo is less of an opportunity and more of "a grueling fight for survival designed to satiate the public’s" desire for bloodshed and the warden's sense of power.

'Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone' HBO series gets teaser trailer, announces Christmas Day release

Dominic McLaughlin stars in 'Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone.' (Aidan Monaghan/HBO)

The boy who lived, for a brand-new era.

HBO has released the official teaser trailer for the first season of its upcoming Harry Potter series. It is officially titled Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, the network announced.

Additionally, HBO has set the season to premiere Christmas Day on HBO Max.

"There is nothing special about Harry Potter - at least that's what his Aunt Petunia always says. On his 11th birthday, a letter of admittance to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry opens up a hidden world for Harry: one of fun, friendship and magic," its official logline reads. "But with this new adventure comes great risk as Harry is forced to face a dangerous enemy from his past."

Dominic McLaughlin leads the cast as Harry Potter, alongside Alastair Stout and Arabella Stanton, who play Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger.

"I've always wanted to know about my parents," McLaughlin says as Harry in the trailer.

We then see Nick Frost as Hagrid, who says to him, "Your parents were the kindest, bravest people I ever met. They were funny and clever, and they stood up for what they believed was right. And the next time I see you will be in Hogwarts."

The rest of the trailer finds Harry getting onto the Hogwarts Express and arriving at the wizarding school. We see glimpses of the great hall, the quidditch pitch, the sorting hat and other classic moments from the first Harry Potter book.

"Are you really Harry Potter?" Stout's Ron asks Harry in the trailer's last moments. When the boy who lived confirms so, Ron makes an explosion noise and accompanying hand movement on his own forehead, in the infamous spot where Harry's lightning bolt scar resides.

The show is described as a faithful adaptation of the books by J.K. Rowling, who serves as an executive producer on the series.

Stephen Colbert's next gig after late night will take him to The Shire.

The comedian will write the screenplay for a brand-new The Lord of the Rings movie for Warner Bros. Pictures and New Line Cinema. This new film has the working title of The Lord of the Rings: Shadow of the Past. It will be penned by Colbert, Philippa Boyens and Peter McGee.

The official Lord of the Rings Instagram shared the news in a post on Tuesday. The video starts with filmmaker Peter Jackson updating fans on the upcoming movie The Lord of the Rings: The Hunt for Gollum. He then teases a surprise, before Colbert joins the call.

"In honor of Tolkien Reading Day and the destruction of the One Ring, we bring you a special announcement," the post is captioned.

Colbert then tells all about the film he is writing.

"You know what the books mean to me, and what your films mean to me, but the thing that I found myself reading over and over again were the six chapters early on in The Fellowship that y'all never developed into the first movie back in the day," Colbert said. "Then I thought — oh wait! Maybe that could be its own story that could fit into the larger story. Could we make something that was completely faithful to the books while also being completely faithful to the movies that you guys had already made?"

Colbert will end his run as host of CBS' The Late Show on May 21, giving him time to focus solely on this new screenplay, he said.

The Lord of the Rings: The Hunt for Gollum arrives in theaters on Dec. 17, 2027. It is directed by Andy Serkis, who has played Gollum for decades and will reprise the role again.

This currently untitled Scooby-Doo live-action series "will uncover how this mystery-solving crew, and their beloved dog, first teamed up to crack the haunting case that started it all," according to the streamer.

Josh Appelbaum and Scott Rosenberg will serve as the show's writers, executive producers and showrunners.

According to Netflix, the show will be a modern reimagining of the Scooby-Doo gang's origin story.

"During their final summer at camp, old friends Shaggy and Daphne get embroiled in a haunting mystery surrounding a lonely lost Great Dane puppy that may have been a witness to a supernatural murder," according to the show's official synopsis. "Together with the pragmatic and scientific townie, Velma, and the strange, but ever so handsome new kid, Freddy, they set out to solve the case that is pulling each of them into a creepy nightmare that threatens to expose all of their secrets."
