SWPA Project 2025

Written By: Clint Iams, NAFCA Executive Director, Amity, PA

On April 25 and 26, 2025, North American Fence Contractors Association (NAFCA) hosted the Southwestern Pennsylvania Service Project / Install Clinic in Washington, PA. Twenty-seven fence contractors traveled from Illinois, Florida, Tennessee, Canada, and many places in between to serve Domestic Violence Services of Southwestern Pennsylvania (DVSSP) at their Washington Safe House.

Working side by side, volunteers:

  • Removed the existing fence
  • Installed 210 feet of horizontal poplar privacy fencing
  • Set the fence on driven C-posts for long-term strength and durability

Beyond the physical work completed, the project brought together professionals from across the industry in an environment that was collaborative, educational, and service-driven—the kind of atmosphere that strengthens both our communities and the fence industry as a whole.

It is an honor for NAFCA to serve local communities while uniting fence contractors around a shared purpose. This project is one more example of how the fence industry can make a lasting, positive impact when it comes together.
