“Racial hatred condemned by Cheltenham Town chairman”

index“RACIAL hatred in football has been condemned by Cheltenham Town chairman Paul Baker after a Robins’ fan allegedly sent racist abuse to two black footballers.

Police have arrested and bailed a 25-year-old man from Cheltenham on suspicion of sending racist tweets to Northampton Town striker Adebayo Akinfenwa and defender Clarke Carlisle.

A joint investigation between police forces in Gloucestershire and Northamptonshire was launched on Wednesday night.

It comes after Northampton knocked Cheltenham out of the League Two play-offs over two legs last Thursday and Sunday.

Carlisle, who captained Northampton in both matches, is also chairman of the Professional Footballers’ Association and an ambassador for anti-racism campaigners Kick It Out.

In response to a racial tweet, Carlisle wrote: “Really?! You must make your parents very proud.”

Cheltenham Town said if proceedings continued and the man was found guilty of racist abuse, they would make an example of him.

Mr Baker said: “It is, of course, totally unacceptable and, if he is proven guilty, the club will be taking its own action to ban him from home games in the coming season.

“It’s not something we have discussed as a board as yet but we do take crowd behaviour very seriously. I think there’s a racist culture in British society per se and it comes out in various ways, including football. I don’t think it’s a football problem but a small collection of people who are intolerant.

“Things of a racist nature are totally unacceptable and football is doing what it can to stamp it out of the game and, fortunately, our club doesn’t suffer from this sort of thing.” The club last night thanked fans for their help in reporting racial abuse to the police.

A police spokeswoman said: “The 25-year-old man was arrested under the Malicious Communications Act. He was subsequently also arrested on suspicion of a racially aggravated public order offence of intentionally causing harassment, alarm or distress.

“The man has now been bailed.”

“UKIP county councillor Eric Kitson facing the sack for posting racist comments on Facebook”

Eric Kitson 'racist'

Eric Kitson ‘racist comments’

A NEW UKIP councillor in Worcestershire has sparked fury amid allegations he unleashed a series of racist abuse online.

Eric Kitson, who won a seat in Stourport just 11 days ago, is facing the sack today over a cartoon of a Muslim being spit-roasted on a fire fuelled by copies of the Koran on his Facebook page.

In one comment, which was believed to have been posted since becoming a councillor, he said in reference to Muslim women: “Hang um all first then ask questions later.”

A raft of anti-Jewish remarks have also appeared on his Facebook site, and in a separate post he has called for the repatriation of “six million migrants and refugees”.

There was also false claims posted on his site that the Rothschild banking dynasty had controlled Nazi Germany’s leader Adolf Hitler.

His Facebook page has also called for Muslim women to be hanged, suggested Islam is “a cancer” that should be eradicated “with nuclear weapons” and expressd support for UKIP leader Nigel Farage teaming up with BNP boss Nick Griffin.

His site also called for the world to “unite against Islam” and supports the far-right English Defence League.

The pages have been re-published on a website called Stand for Peace, which has condemned his actions.

The Muslim community has called the rants “sickening” and a petition is being circulated around mosques tonight calling for his removal.

Councillor Adrian Hardman, the leader of Worcestershire County Council, said: “This looks like criminal activity because he’s inciting racial hatred – he should do the honourable thing and resign because he has brought shame on the county.”

The attacks are currently being investigated by UKIP HQ in London, and have been condemned as “disgusting” by senior figures at Worcestershire County Council this morning.

Councillor Kitson has only just been through training for being an elected politician, and is one of four UKIP members to have just been elected to the authority for the first time ever.

If he is removed from his position it would be the shortest spell any elected politician has ever had in County Hall – and would trigger a by-election.

A UKIP spokesman told the Worcester News: “The party is looking into it because we need to find out exactly what has gone on here.

“We don’t want to dismiss him outright until we investigate it.

“Our understanding is that he has offered to resign over it, but we need to establish what’s happened.

“A conversation will be taking place and if we find out he has behaved inappropriately, he would have to go.”

Councillor Peter McDonald, leader of Worcestershire’s Labour group, said: “These remarks are disgusting and it brings the whole office of being a councillor into disrepute.

“It’s a terrible mess, he has let himself down, the council down, and the voters who elected him in down – they did not vote for this.

“It’s terribly sad and pretty shocking what he has done – this man is now an elected councillor.”

The authority has already had one request for the Standards Committee to investigate, and has released a statement in the last few minutes.

Simon Mallinson, head of legal and democratic services, said: “Whilst we would avoid commenting on any individual case at this stage, elected members are expected to comply with the council’s code of conduct when they act in their role as county councillors.

“Any complaint that this code has been breached when acting in such a role will be carefully considered.”

Coun Kitson has yet to respond to calls from the press, nor has Wyre Forest’s UKIP branch.

Muslim Mumshad Ahmed, a former county councillor, said: “I am sickened and disgusted by this, I cannot believe the hatred he is creating.

“I will be taking a petition around mosques tonight to get people to sign it, this man is doing something very dangerous – when a Koran was burned there was riots around the world.

“I cannot see why he’s done this.”

“Worcester UKIP candidate Richard Delingpole in Photoshopped Hitler picture row”

The posh nazis at UKIP try and hide behind the ‘joke’ tag yet again..

The picture featuring Richard Delingpole and Adolf Hitler

The picture featuring Richard Delingpole and Adolf Hitler

“A UK Independence Party election candidate in Worcester has published a doctored image of himself on the internet standing behind Adolf Hitler.

Richard Delingpole, who is standing for county council election in the Riverside ward, posted the image on Twitter.

One political rival has branded the picture “sickening and abhorrent”.

But the businessman, of Henwick Road, St John’s, has insisted the image was a joke in response to reports that the Conservative party is trawling social networking sites looking for dirt on UKIP candidates.

The picture shows Adolf Hitler, with three henchmen standing behind him, all of whom have had their faces changed to a youthful looking Mr Delingpole.

Yesterday UKIP’s Worcester branch apologised, blaming a “very deep sense of humour” which could be misunderstood.

Carl Humphries, the branch organiser for Worcester and Mid-Worcestershire, said he would not be thrown out of the party.

“I can assure you he is definitely not a Nazi or anything like that – he’s got a very deep sense of humour,” he said.

“He has been vetted by me, all our candidates are clean in every respect, but I am sorry if this offended people.”

Mr Delingpole, who runs a design agency, has now deleted the picture.

“There’s a story going around that the Tories are trawling Facebook accounts of UKIP candidates to drag up things about them, this was a joke based on that,” he said.

“Of course people won’t think I’m an Adolf Hitler sympathiser, to suggest otherwise is disingenuous.

“It’s clearly a picture of Adolf Hitler I have photo-shopped, it shows we’ve got a sense of humour.”

Mr Delingpole, who is a war re-enactor, said the image first appeared on his Facebook page some time ago after a friend joked that he was a Nazi.

He posted it on Twitter yesterday morning with the caption: “I really must get rid of some of these old Facebook images before the Tories get hold of them” before deleting it.

But the image was seen by a Conservative councillor in another part of the country, who tipped off colleagues in Worcestershire.

Yesterday Coun Simon Geraghty, who is standing for the Conservative party in Riverside, said: “I find it absolutely sickening and abhorrent.

“I think the vast majority of British people will find this shocking – it’s not funny at all, it’s dreadful and I can’t believe he’s done it.”

UKIP is fielding 1,734 candidates in tomorrow’s council elections, but over the last few days it has been forced to suspend three candidates – one for being an ex-BNP activist, another for “liking” the extremist English Defence League on Facebook, and the third for being a former National Front Organiser.

Yesterday, a spokesman from UKIP’s national HQ in London said: “Richard Delingpole‘s not dodgy in any way – he did it because he’s fed up of people being professionally outraged.”

Meanwhile, UKIP leader Nigel Farage has waded into the controversy today, by saying it was “a joke” in the wake of yesterday’s coverage of rotten UKIP candidates in the Daily Mirror.

He said: “To present it as anything else would be a travesty.”

In today’s Sun newspaper another UKIP candidate, Bradley Monk, aged 19, who is standing at Hampshire County Council, was outed for posting snaps of himself online as shamed pervert Jimmy Savile.

He wore a mask of the disgraced paedophile at a Halloween party last year.

He said it was a “harmless joke” and added he was “in no way endorsing” what Savile did.

Mr Farage has admitted the party is too small to properly vet the record number of council candidates standing in the elections.

* The other candidates in Riverside are Labour’s Lynn Denham, Green Louis Stephen, Sean McCauley for Trades Unionists and Socialists Against the Cuts and Julie Whitwam for the BNP.”

“SHAMEFUL: Midland man defends mock KKK lynching as a ‘bit of fun'” (updated)

*Article below from The Birmingham Mail (The mail is not naming who they are talking about here so 3CAFA to the rescue .. it’s Darren Clifft from Walsall)

“Shocking fake hanging carried out as band played Johnny Rebel hits while 70 strong crowd gave Nazi salutes.

KKKGolliwog-3184144

A Midland Ku Klux Klan admirer has defended his mock golliwog hanging stunt as “just a bit of fun”.

The man, who the Sunday Mercury has decided not to name, said: “I didn’t realise I was doing anything wrong.”

And he stressed that “it wasn’t planned” and that he was “egged on”.

The 23 year-old, from Walsall, was pictured holding a noose around the neck of a black doll at a music gig in Swansea last month. He later posted a video of the incident on Youtube.

His actions have been condemned by a Labour MP.

But the man told the Sunday Mercury: “The gig was absolutely brilliant. One of the best nights of my life. As I was hanging the golliwog the band was playing American Country and Western music and Johnny Rebel hits.

“It was all in jest and I don’t regret a minute of it and would so the same again.

“The mistake I made was to put a video of the ‘lynching’ up on YouTube.

“I didn’t realise I was doing anything wrong. I wasn’t inciting anyone to go out and lynch black people because it’s against the law.”

He added: “I admire the Klan and its Christian values and believe in racial segregation.

“The UK is only for white indigenous folk and everyone of colour should be settled in one small area out the way or better still deported back to their place of origin.”

Labour MP for Perry Barr Khalid Mahmood said the man’s actions were “reprehensible”.

“Police need to carry out a thorough investigation because individuals like this have the potential to cause serious damage in our communities through word and deed.

“He appears to show no remorse.

“His behaviour is just not acceptable in this day and age.”

The shocking images were captured at an event organised by Blood and Honour, a “white power” music network.

It took place after a “White Pride World Wide” march in the Welsh city.

The man told the Sunday Mercury that he had not planned to mock up the hanging of the golliwog.

He said: “The lynching wasn’t planned, but somebody from the Welsh National Front had bought along this stuffed golliwog he’d made to the gig.

“Everyone egged me on to re-enact what used to happen in the deep south of America to bad black people who had done something wrong.

“Innocent black people were never lynched and people forget that bad white people were also lynched by mobs too.

“The blacks were targeted for the better good of society there at the time.”

Johnny Rebel is a controversial American Country and Western singer whose songs, with incendiary titles like “Stay away from Dixie” and “Move them N*****s North”, were popular in the Deep South in the 1960s and 70s.

His lyrics were often supportive of the Ku Klux Klan and included derogatory references to black people.

Nearly 3,500 African Americans and 1,300 whites were lynched in the United Sates between 1882 and 1968.” Ends.

“Turkish kebab shop owner gave into racist jibes”

FIGHT-RACISM-VECTOR“THE Turkish owner of a Malvern kebab shop and his staff were subjected to racist jibes by a gang of youths, Worcester Crown Court was told.

But 32-year-old Aydin Seven over-reacted, said prosecutor Peter Cooke and it led to violence on two occasions.

The youths – referred to as yobs by Recorder Adrian Redgrave QC – massed outside the shop in Moat Way and pulled up their hoods to conceal their identity from CCTV cameras.

An employee arriving for work was greeted by racist chants and was attacked in June last year, said Mr Cooke. Seven came to his assistance armed with a steel sharpening tool. It was brought out as a deterrent and caused the youths to flee.

Months later in October, there was another demonstration outside the shop. Seven was obstructed as he came out with a delivery and became involved in a fight with a teenager.

Mr Cooke said he admitted head-butting the youth and he also pleaded guilty to having an offensive weapon in a public placeduring the June encounter.

Timothy Burrows, defending, said things had calmed down since the October incident and two youths were to appear before magistrates. Mr Seven intended to carry on with his business.

Recorder Redgrave told Seven that he had been more sinned against than sinning. He had been the victim of unpleasant and illegal behaviour.

He gave him a 12-month conditional discharge for both offences coupled with a £15 victims surcharge.

“And he advised the defendant: “Don’t give in to yobs.”

“Anger after UKIP billboard defaced”

From worcester evening news

1613 Newtown_Road_UKIP_billboard_defaced_23937

“VANDALS have defaced a giant UK Independence Party election billboard in Worcester so it reads like a BNP advert.

The sign, at the bottom of Newtown Road and one of four UKIP posters in the city, was scribbled over in ink and paint so it read like an advert for the far-right British National Party.

Bosses decided to take it down over the weekend and have hit out at the perpetrators. Carl Humphries, UKIP organiser for Worcester and Mid-Worcestershire, said: “I can tell you now we have strict ruling over any BNP members who want to join our party.

“We ask prospective members to fill out a form and if they either belong to the BNP now or used to be a member, they have no chance whatsoever with us. It’s a shame but we have always anticipated bits of graffiti going on any political sign, it’s the way it works sometimes.”

At the moment, the party’s other three adverts in Sherriff Street, Midland Road and next to Shrub Hill Station have not been targeted. Meanwhile, party organisers have come in for criticism after activists printed a leaflet asking people to vote on the wrong date for May’s elections.

As well as Worcestershire County Council’s election count, a by-election is taking place on Thursday, May 2 for the Chase seat on Malvern Hills District Council.

The by-election has been sparked by Councillor Steve Brown resigning from both County Hall and the district council in order to run his own publishing business. UKIP has circulated a leaflet around the ward asking people to vote on Sunday, May 5, in error.

The leaflet has been put through doors with a silver sticker covering it up. Councillor Lucy Hodgson, who is standing for the Conservatives for the Chase County Hall seat, said: “There was this silver sticky tape stuck over the date – we were surprised it had gone out like that.”

Mr Humphries said he “could not believe” the mistake had been made, but insisted UKIP was still getting a positive reaction on the doorstep. The leaflet was laid out and printed before party members realised the typing mistake.

“The reaction on the doorstep is positive, that’s what our focus is,” said Mr Humphries. UKIP is standing 42 candidates next month.”

Anti-fascist Pavel Krivonosov from Nizhni Novgorod needs help!

Last autumn, a longstanding case against Nizhni Novgorod anti-fascists was returned to investigation, and for a while it seemed like a final victory. However, in contrary to these expectations, the case returned to court this spring and things do not look too good.
krivonosov
Pavel Krivonosov is one of the accused of the fabricated case. He is a social activist, a musician and anarchist. As the set-up has been going for a while, number of charges passed the statute of limitations and were tossed out from the court – political “extremist” charges included.

However, he is accused still according to part 2 of the statute 213 of the Russian criminal codex (hooliganism committed with a group of people), which carries a maximum sentence of 7 years in prison.

It is not doubt that this case was fabricated by Nizhni Novgorod officers of Center of Counteraction Against Extremism (so-called E-center). Even the Nazi victims of the assault could not recognise Pavel as the assaulter. Prosecution has one single witness, a taxi driver who is providing false testimony and claiming that assaulter was Pavel.

Pavel has an alibi, he was at work, and his employer has testified to prove this. Case of Pavel has been substantiated with a number of other expertises as well. It is obvious, that Pavel did not committed this crime. Repressions against him are motivated solely by his social activism. Currently he is in a need of money to finance legal costs, and we are happy for any kind of help!

Fake “membershop card of Antifa-RASH”, planted to Pavel during search of his home.

Gearing Up For March For England – Brighton 21st April

Reblogged from The Anti-Fascist Network

As most people will already be aware, every extremist, far right nut job and, in some cases, out of the closet Nazi, will be heading to Brighton on the 21st April for their annual  ’family friendly’ parade hosted by the front group ‘March for England’.

The reason they are heading to Brighton is because last year the people of Brighton came out to block the march, and sent a clear message  to the demo that bigotry is not welcome in their town.

The March For England organiser, Dave Smeeton, is not from Brighton, he’s from Gosport. Last year he whinged on and on about his parade being nothing to do with the EDL (although it is). This year however, he seems to be going cap in hand to every fascist who will listen, begging for their support in Brighton. The proof:

Here’s some pictures from the 23rd March where the fascists of the south held a meeting in Poole at the Pure Drop Inn:

This lot call themselves South East Alliance - A group headed up By EDL organiser Mickey Bayliss

As a side note, the rather rotund young gentleman (middle row, second from right) is from England’s Golden Dawn (NAZI!!) He is second from left in the photo below, when the fascists really embarrassed themselves trying to support Golden Dawn outside the Greek embassy!

Angry Golden Dawn Supporter In with the South East Alliance (someone tell him it's ok to be ginger!)

Angry Golden Dawn Supporter In with the South East Alliance (someone tell him it’s ok to be ginger!)

Can anyone guess who else was at the Poole meeting? You guessed it, none other than March for England organiser David Smeeton!

Dave clenching hard with a supporter from Essex

Dave (right)clenching hard with a supporter from Essex outside the Pure Drop Inn.

Here’s an excerpt from the English Volunteer Force blog in which they helpfully write all about the day:

Do'h!

It is important to shake hands.

So we know for a fact that Smeeton is trying to organise all these little shit stains to back him up in Brighton. Why do they insist on a St Georges Day Parade in Brighton? Surely they could find a nice family fun day celebrating our Syrian patron saint at numerous quaint villages up and down these green and pleasant lands! The answer is simple – Dave Smeeton and his gang of backwards buffoons hate Brighton, they hate it because it is arty/liberal/independent/tolerant/spirited/accepting/alternative and proud. Fascists want everything to be the same, and everyone to be subservient to the state.

There appears to be far right groups of  varying commitment promising to travel to Brighton for the 21st from all over the country. One of the more notable groups plotting to take revenge on the good folk of Brighton is Casuals United, here’s one of their tasteful posters meant to look like splattered blood:

Childish shit

Childish shit

How ever many freaks manage to make the trip to the seaside, it is still not going to be anything like the numbers the town itself will get out in defiance. The Anti-fascist Network was established to support mass mobilisations like this. It happened last year in Brighton and Bristol and it will happen again. Groups like the Casuals like to use violent imagery to try to intimidate people – don’t fall for it, they are all talk – as summed up in the account from London Antifascists about their outing to Manchester in March – Road Trip .

It appears Smeeton and his buddies are organising meetings with small groups over the south coast in the run up to the 21st. Last year they were shown the door – this time lets close it behind them. It’s already been said but it bears repeating – if you go to one anti-fascist demo this year then go to Brighton. Support the locals, and help drive fascism from the south coast for good.
