I got kind of lazy to post and I've been going out a lot, so... yeah. |D;;; /excuses Here's the stuff that kind of sat around for however long I've been gone. I'm still about 9 days behind... |||orz But I'll get to them, and hopefully with better looking stuff instead of a bunch of sketches.

=/ I didn't explain day 11 in my last post, but um... yeah. It wasn't a very good time for K. Abusive boyfriends are bad for you. I'm really glad to be in a happy relationship and that my boyfriend and I communicate so much and really honest with each other, so we've never had a fight before.

Anyone who knows me will have seen this already. BUT! I reworked it since I was thinking about doing something with it. And I realized how many weird mistakes I made when I first drew it. So I fixed it. Loved it then, love it now. Mmmhmmmm.

lyle is a mere mortal: like all of us, he has days where he rocks sweats and a beard - a bigger beard. at the time of 5OL, lyle's favourite music is talking heads and jethro tull. post-5OL in the new millenium he likes the fratellis and tech n9ne. fun fact: remember when 5OL takes place - lyle has never touched a computer before in his life.

First post. woo. Just a sketch to start off.

Tried to work with a more dynamic pose but didn't really work too well. Plus her expression is too blank for my liking. But I suppose this community is here to help me improve upon these kinds of things for her!

She's a healer/mercenary for a fantasy comic I'm working on. :) TMI? I tend to do that.

argh, i have posted twice in a row. where is everybody! just a sketch because it's late.

this is hinted at in 5OL but never thoroughly discussed: lyle likes photography! he specializes in photos of his naked significant-others, and is therefore not a commerical photographer. it's a kind of sentimental hobby to him. ps, this is the colour i sketch with that you can see under my drawings. best colour!

young lyle! at age seven, maybe? it was then that he stopped talking, a victim of bad haircuts and mean kids and nowhere near the stout ginger adonis we all know and love. look at those cankles! he hadn't grown into his nose or ears yet.

day fiiiiive, is anyone else totally stoked? i'm guessing no.

this is why comely's narrative makes lyle seem more gigantic and burly than he is: comely is much smaller than lyle (despite their being the same height). as long as we're comparing, i will also point out that standing next to lyle always makes comely seem super brown when he is only sort of brown. the more you know.

I think I'm caught up now. GUYS. I went to the Of Montreal concert last night. It was amazing, and Kevin Barnes is my dream lover. That's relevant because:

Day 11: Kevin Barnes' outfits never disappoint. Last night he looked like this. I stopped feeling the love long enough to think, "Super Honey would look amazing in that." The anatomy got a little out of control. You could say it went... pear-shaped?

Day 12: Sofonisba's mother is a politician so sometimes she gets dressed up to go to "functions." Sometimes she gets dressed down and gatecrashes functions, but this is not one of those times.

Day 13: Requisite picture of hipster in oversize sunglasses. Also: Sperry boat shoes. I didn't use a ref or anything so I think the anatomy, again, went a little crazy, but hopefully it's not to egregious.

number four! feat. comely this time, as many more probably will.

an introduction! comely, the protagonist of always and forever, & five other lies. also, as pictured here, someone our lyle is very interested in (god only knows why). being with comely is the first tough relationship lyle has really been in, as lyle's life has been pretty smooth sailing when it comes to love. and a lot of other stuff.

ps for 5OL fans: when comely says he goes 'unattractively red', he means like this

Hey-ohhhh, I enjoy playing catch up

Day 7: Return of the "Casual Friday Businesswoman" attire. I'm trying to give a sense that she has a wardrobe she's getting her clothes from, to get a sense of her style.

Day 8: On stage with Honey Trap. Return of the nautical tank, paired with what was supposed to be a denim jacket. Working on my fabric drawing skills.

Day 9: A cartoonish one I knocked out without thinking. Then I realized, "Hey, this drawing the same character over and over thing is working!"

Day 10: Douchebag boyfriend. I was going to give her a hot, cool boyfriend. Then I remembered that most boyfriends are actually with girlfriends who at first glance seem to be way out of their league, until you get to know them and realize they have crazy daddy issues or inferiority complexes or something. I don't know what Sofonisba's excuse is. Yet.

I have a poster from the movie 'Alexander' on my ceiling. It's been there for years even though I didn't even like the movie when I saw it. I drew this to illustrate Jared Leto's ridiculous look in that movie for my sister and her friend.

lyle in a rare moment of silliness with his ex-girlfriend marnie (as seen on her back in chapter five, haha). he loved her a lot and had been in the process of getting over her for years, which was difficult when, pre-comely, they kept having sex all the time. fun fact: she is as tall as she appears here, ie; way taller than our little buddy. she, um, has a septum piercing and not snot, which is hard to illustrate from the not-the-front?

day two! not in, uh, order though. i missed a day. and will probably miss more, but heck if i won't draw all 30 at some point!

lyle 2! showing off how he looks neck-down. not as huge as comely's awe-struck narrative makes him seem, but a decently big guy. kind of short, but heavy. comely doesn't notice he's short, either, because he's the same height as him.

Day 12; Riley

Right out of the Academy and for about 2 years, Riley did her job without thinking twice about it. She went through her days more as a ghost than anything else, living for the sake of it until she was assigned to find Eli. Eli had been infected at the age of 8, and had immediately run away from home without his parents registering or notifying officials of his condition. Riley was only told to find and kill him as per usual. She hadn't been told any details about him other than the fact that he was a danger to the general population. When she finally tracked him down - she couldn't bring herself to go through with it and immediately defected from the division. She's been on the outs since, essentially adopting Eli along the way, making sure he doesn't get snapped up by some other agent.
