The International Green Industry Hall of Fame (IGIHOF) wanted to move their existing website from Wix to WordPress for more flexibility and control. They also needed a complete redesign to better highlight their mission and increase donations. The website had to convey the importance of the green industry while being user-friendly and encouraging visitor engagement, especially for their donation initiatives.

Strategy

The migration started by transferring content from Wix to WordPress, where I ensured better performance and flexibility for future updates. The design was completely overhauled to give it a fresh, modern look that resonated with environmentally-conscious visitors. The donation process was simplified by integrating a prominent donation button on every page, with easy-to-follow steps to contribute. The new layout was optimized for mobile and desktop, and I implemented clean navigation to help users quickly find IGIHOF’s educational materials, events, and ways to get involved.

Results

The revamped IGIHOF website is now easier to manage on the WordPress platform, offering more control over content updates and overall site performance. The new design significantly improved user engagement, and donations increased through the streamlined contribution process. Visitors found it easier to explore IGIHOF’s mission, events, and educational content, contributing to the organization’s growth. IGIHOF was pleased with the results, noting the site’s improved usability and donation process.
