I brought in my very expensive, RayBan, prescription sunglasses, that were like 3yr old... bc my sister's dog got them off the table and chewed them up before anyone could realize... ruined. Anyway! I brought them into 20/20, to show someone the evidence. I had basically zero wait, went and sat down with a specialist. I wish I knew her name, because she was exceptional! And that's on me. But she was SO good!! Kind, Hispanic, late-20s, mother, long brown hair. I wish I knew her name, to give her kudos. Her, and the gentleman in the glasses area. I also don't remember his name either, UGH. But both were exceptional and extremely professional, while still having a personality! I knew I had a vision insurance reimbursement, for the new year. I have to wear glasses, hard stop. So because, for ME, they are something I have to use, take on-and-off, every day... I need my glasses to be legit. Which usually means spending some money. I was prepared to do that this day. Because I HAD to have a pair of prescription sunglasses. I drive up-valley every day, lol? So, I told her what I wanted, the vibe, what I hated, what I didn’t want, everything. She listened, then immediately took me to certain glasses in the store. Gave me like 10 options, had me try them on, and told me if they worked on my face frame or not. She gave me her honest input, which is EXACTLY what I wanted from her in that moment.. I know they can order whatever. But I need to try them on, and feel them.. and after about 25 minutes from walking in the door, she had THE frames identified, with me. Based on what I told her I wanted. I was stunned at how perfect they were!! My reimbursement covered the frames. The lenses are a different story. That's where MY cost came in. I did end up spending a little more than $250, out the door, on my new and upgraded sunglasses. (These will last me at LEAST 2-3 years, btw). For something that, for me, is necessary, that price tag wasn't bad. I'm also someone who HAS to take care of their sunglasses and glasses, because of how dependant I am on my prescription. So, if that's also YOU... I would STRONGLY recommend you going to 20/20 Eye Care, in Glenwood Springs, CO. Selection, customer service, and how EASY it all was... worth the price tag. And I got EXACTLY what I wanted. Only Con: Bc of my fancy lenses, it took 2 weeks to get in. But worth the wait!!
