A Smarter Approach to Employer Engagement

A structured, employer-centered approach to strengthening Indiana’s innovation workforce. Through a phased model, 16 Tech builds the systems, partnerships, and insights needed to create lasting employer–student connections.

Talent Access begins by building a strong foundation. During this phase, 16 Tech identifies priority employers and conducts discovery interviews to understand workforce needs, mentorship capacity, and placement opportunities.

Employer readiness and student demand are mapped to ensure alignment. A centralized CRM system is established, and clear success metrics are defined to guide implementation and long-term measurement.

With infrastructure in place, the focus shifts to activation. Employers receive structured training, practical playbooks, and engagement tools that clarify expectations and strengthen supervision practices.

A Tier 1 employer engagement model is launched, alongside feedback and tracking systems that ensure consistency, accountability, and quality across placements.

Continuous improvement drives long-term success. Employer and student outcomes are analyzed, end-of-experience reflections are facilitated, and insights are captured to inform refinement.

This phase formalizes the Employer Engagement framework, supports knowledge transfer, and strengthens internal systems. Metrics are refined, scalable practices are identified, and recommendations are developed to sustain and expand impact over time.
