Accessory housing?
The conversation continues
Community meeting on ADUs Monday, March 16, 7:00 pm St. Anthony Park Lutheran Church 2323 Como Avenue
Hosted by the St. Anthony Park Community Council's ad hoc task force on accessory dwelling units, this meeting will offer info and gather input and ideas from neighborhood residents. ADUs are secondary units typically added to the interior of a house, as an addition to a house, or built/converted as a separate structure on the same lot with an existing house. The Community Council's Land Use Committee created the task force last September to study the issues and make a recommendation on whether they would be appropriate more broadly in St. Anthony Park. More info can be found on the Council's website.

It seems to be a timely idea: See Rachel Hutton's recent Minnesota Monthly article Future Twin Cities: What Life Will Look Like in 2040 and Beyond. More forward-looking media: Revisit the recent MPR series on climate change in our state.
