What is HackDKU?

HackDKU is the DKU Computer Science Club's annual interdisciplinary hackathon. This year, all projects must center on the theme of Ethics & AI, pushing participants to build technology that is both innovative and responsible.

Ethics & AI

Explore the intersection of artificial intelligence and ethical responsibility. Build solutions that matter.

Interdisciplinary

All majors welcome. Combine tech, design, business, and research skills to create something extraordinary.

Week-Long Sprint

No overnight rush. A full week to ideate, build, and polish your project with daily check-ins.

Teams choose one of four tracks to participate in. Judges select one winner per track based on product quality, presentation, and theme fit. Prize: 2500 RMB per regular track winning team, and 3000, 2000, 1000 RMB for top 3 Luxshare track* participants.

*Luxshare track exclusive to teams with at least one DKU student.

Schedule

First and last days will be held in person, with midweek activities and mentor sessions in between.

All in-person events take place in the AB Auditorium.

Haofen Wang

Innovation in the Age of AI Exploration and the Rise of the Super Individual

Haofen Wang is a tenured professor and PhD supervisor at Tongji University, specializing in knowledge graphs and knowledge-enhanced large language models. He has led the development of OpenSPG, KAG-Thinker, MemOS, and AI-Ceping, with applications in airport operations, financial risk control, and intelligent cockpit interaction. Over the past five years, he has published 3 monographs and 45 papers in leading venues such as CVPR, WWW, ICLR, ACL, AAAI, and IJCAI, with more than 11,000 Google Scholar citations. He has led several national and provincial research projects, holds 8 authorized patents, and has received multiple academic and industry awards. He is also active in major academic communities and journals, and is committed to advancing both research innovation and industrial applications in knowledge graphs and large language models.

AI Ethics: From Confucian Wisdom to ESG and Responsible AI: A Lecture on the Intersection of Tradition and Technology

Chief Scientist of Intelligent Systems, SJTU APIS (Advanced Packaging and Intelligent Systems) Research Institute; Cofounder of Motion Brain; Former chief scientist of Intel Labs China. Dr. Yimin Zhang is a Principal Engineer at Intel Labs, and Chief Scientist of Intel Labs China, where he focuses on research on robot learning for service robot (such as for elderly care) and other autonomous systems, to drive application and usages innovation and differentiation on Intel platforms. He received his Ph.D. degree from Shanghai Jiaotong University at 1999. His research interests primarily include robot learning, computer vision, natural language processing.
