Adios!

For TL;DR People: All my blogging activity to happen here : blog.ronakjain.com.

For People who actually care:

Cricket World Cup 2015 is here, Valentine’s Week is here and so will be the Mid-Semester exams. AAP has won Delhi by quite some margin. The Winter chill is almost gone. It is 02:30 AM in the night and there is a puppy sitting at the end of my dormitory maybe looking for a late night snack or he is trying to find a cosy corner to spend the rest of the night. I am listening to Vicar in a Tutu from Smiths. “…I am a living sign,...”.  And as I write this final message here, I sense an urgency of sorts which only deepens as I think over it.  I do not know why this bothers me, as this is regular purgatory that we do so often in life that we do not even pay keen attention. Cutting to the chase, if you are not a regular visitor here, this happens to be my last blog post here. I was going over the posts which I published in the past and God they were embarrassing. I deleted some, put some on a draft to be edited later but kept most of them the way they are. I know I do not want to be judged but I want justice to be done to this place.  An archive of all my stupidity and innocence. It only makes me laugh and cry at the same time that this blog is as old as my engineering life. I do not even know what to write. Maybe my eyes are getting too heavy.

Just to put it on record, I love you. Nah, not you silly, the blog. Justice done! Poetic Justice.

S: Why is the snow white?…is it because it has forgotten its color?

H: I don’t know why snow is white, but i think white snow is beautiful.

My New Year gift to myself and more!

The New Year is already 25 days old with we celebrating our 66th Republic Day tomorrow. It is not common for me to write two back to back posts but we were supposed to be travelling Nepal for this long weekend ( only if the guys in Nepalese parliament weren’t so adamant on wreaking havoc ) and here I am updating my stupid blog. The last week in competitive programming

Happy Basant Panchami and Saraswati Pujan everyone. It really intrigues me that we do not celebrate Saraswati Puja with the same flare and glamour the way we do Deepawali. (I happened to move around the city in the evening and what I saw humbled me with such devotional prayers offered to Goddess Saraswati, I guess I needed to eat up my own words)  In my humble opinion knowledge liberates and money binds. May the goddess of knowledge bless us and guide us through all the darkness and ignorance. And for the record I took a shower today and am wearing a yellow shirt. Just saying.

The last week in competitive programming was rather unsteady and intimidating and it surely deserves a blog post. Continue reading

Good Bye 2014!

Tis the Season of the old replacing the new.

Here I am wishing all of you a very happy and prosperous new year. If you are a sport programmer, there is a serious party going on here at Codeforces.

This is going to be a rather brief post as I am going out. 2014 was one amazing year. Lots of everything for which I am really thankful. I thought of doing a recap of the year but I’d leave it for some other time.

I’d be back in the new year. I am into quite a few things and I’ll keep you guys posted about my latest ventures. Till then sit tight and enjoy this magical time of the year.

One last thing, “Don’t hope for a great year, make it so.” Cheerio!

The god of small things!

Whoa another semester bites the dust. And now that 8th Semester is(can) officially the “Internship Sem” I have got only a year more to look forward to my college life. Time runs fast isn’t it and, honestly, I am trying to make the most out of it. My only wish is that I get to check all the items off my bucket list before this ends. Seems a lot like dying. Though I won’t expand on this analogy of mine. Continue reading
